Meiomi Chardonnay, 2013

Santa Barbara County. Sonoma County. Monterey County. Unifying three of California's most notable coastal areas from the maritime mist of Sonoma, to the chilly fog of Santa Barbara, and the howling winds of Monterey in between - our Chardonnay vineyards lay the foundation for one dynamic blend. With a soft hand in the cellar and aged in Fresh barrels, the wine evolves into an elegant balance of spice and fruit, weight and restraint. Meiomi Chardonnay embodies the characters of California's most notable coastal wine regions. Unifying the unique characters from each region allows this Chardonnay to distinguish itself as an elegant, balanced chardonnay fully formed. 49% Santa Barbara County - Exotic sweet spice and lively tropical fruit notes. 30% Sonoma County - Crisp apple and lean minerality. 21% Monterey County - Ripe stone fruit core and round, creamy texture. Each Chardonnay lot is crafted to maximize its individually and contribution to the final blend. French oak seamlessly meld these diverse Chardonnays together creating a multifaceted wine with graceful disposition. Joseph J. Wagner. Winemaker. 13.8% alcohol by volume. Vinted & bottled by Meiomi Wines, St. Helena, CA.
