Composition: A lipid fraction of coconut oil consisting primarily of the triglycerides of the C8 and C10 saturated fatty acids. Approximate percentages are: fatty acid; shorter than C8 (-6%); C8 (octanoic) (67%); C10 (decanoic) (27%); longer than C10 (-4%). MCT Oil is an easily absorbed fat for the dietary management of patients in whom conventional food fats are poorly digested, absorbed, or utilized. MCT Oil should be mixed with fruit juices, used on salads and vegetables, incorporated into sauces for use on fish, chicken, or lean meat, or used in cooking or baking.
